Review due cards before you add many new cards. A large backlog makes the schedule less useful.
Rate recall, not familiarity. A familiar answer is not correct unless you can produce it.
Edit a card that fails repeatedly. The question can be unclear, too broad, or missing context.
Use practice problems outside flashcards. Spaced repetition supports memory, but it does not replace application.
